Job summary

Glenelg Shire Council seeks a Bachelor-qualified Early Childhood Teacher to join the Kathleen Millikan Centre in the rural township of Casterton. You will work in a supportive team environment within a close-knit farming community on traditional lands of Gunditjmara, Boandik and Jardwadjali peoples.

Contact days are Monday and Friday 8.30am-4.00pm with non-contact time scheduled accordingly; you will contribute to delivering a nurturing, inclusive program and build strong relationships with

Qualifications

• Bachelor-level qualification in Early Years Education or equivalent.
• Current First Aid qualification HLTAID012.
• National Child Safety training.
• Knowledge of the National Quality Framework and its daily application.
• Experience working with children and families.
• Experience in developing and implementing an educational program.
• Ability to work flexibly and collaboratively with staff.
• Ability to manage risks and identify health and safety issues.
• Positive outlook and team approach.
• Effective communication skills.
• Ability to build strong relationships to support children's learning, wellbeing and development.

About the Opportunity

Glenelg Shire Council is looking for an enthusiastic Kindergarten Teacher to work in a supportive team environment. Located in the rural township of Casterton, the Kathleen Millikan Centre is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Bachelor Qualified Early Childhood Teacher to join our team and help make a positive difference in the lives of young children. As part of a small, close-knit farming community on the traditional lands of the Gunditjmara, Boandik and Jardwadjali peoples, our team is committed to creating a nurturing, inclusive and supportive environment where children, families and educators can thrive. What you need to Succeed

• Bachelor of Early Years Education or equivalent.
