Job summary

Busy Bees invites applications for a Casual Chef at Folly Foot. You will plan, prepare, and serve healthy meals for children aged 0–5, ensuring meals cater for allergies and dietary needs while maintaining kitchen hygiene and safety.

This casual role supports Busy Bees' childcare centres and learning initiatives. The successful candidate will have a Food Safety Supervisor Certificate, childcare experience is a plus, and must hold or obtain a NSW Working with Children Check.

Qualifications

• Must have Food Safety Supervisor Certificate.
• Experience as a Chef or Cook; childcare experience highly regarded.
• Knowledge of safe food handling and kitchen hygiene practices.
• Current Working with Children Check for NSW, or willingness to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Plan and prepare healthy, balanced meals in line with Australian Dietary Guidelines.
• Cater for allergies, intolerances, and cultural dietary requirements.
• Manage food ordering, budgeting, and stock control.
• Maintain a clean, safe kitchen environment in accordance with Food Safety Standards.
• Work collaboratively with the Centre Leadership Team.
• Contribute to children’s learning around nutrition and healthy eating.
