Job summary

Youfoodz in Brisbane's southside is seeking skilled Industrial Kettle Operators to join our production team on Early Morning and Mid/Afternoon shifts. You will operate large-scale cooking equipment and help produce 24+ tonnes of food daily, while ensuring every batch meets our strict quality, safety and production standards.

This hands-on role is physically demanding and requires teamwork, safety consciousness and the ability to follow recipes using digital systems (MFG/iPads).

About the Role

We are seeking skilled and detail-oriented Industrial Kettle Operators to join our high-performing production team across our Early Morning and Mid/Afternoon shifts.

This is a hands-on, physically demanding role where you'll operate large-scale industrial cooking equipment and work as part of a team producing 24+ tonnes of food per day. You'll play an important role in ensuring every batch meets our strict quality, food safety and production standards.

Shift Availability

• Early Morning: Must be available between 3:30 am – 1:30 pm

• Mid/Afternoon: Must be available between 11:00 am – 9:00 pm

• Shifts operate across 7 days a week

• Minimum 3 days' availability per week

• Shifts are generally 10 hours

• Rotating rostered days, with fixed shift times once assigned

Key Responsibilities

• Operate large-scale industrial kettles safely and efficiently

• Follow recipes and production instructions using digital manufacturing systems (MFG/iPads)

• Accurately weigh and add ingredients according to strict recipe requirements

• Complete the required two-step decanting process and visually inspect ingredients for foreign objects

• Monitor packaging integrity and prevent contamination risks

• Follow GMP, HACCP and Food Safety standards at all times

• Maintain a clean, organised and hazard‑free production area

• Safely perform repetitive manual handling, including lifting up to 20kg

• Work collaboratively with operators, material handlers and QA to meet production targets

• Report food safety, quality, safety or process concerns to your Team Leader or Supervisor

• Follow all workplace safety and site traffic management procedures

• Stand for extended periods and work effectively in a fast‑paced production environment

• Maintain high personal hygiene standards and wear all required PPE
