Job summary

Parkes Christian School is seeking a motivated and energetic primary teacher to join our growing, double streamed K-2 and single streamed 3-6 departments. You will work in collaborative teams, using state-of-the-art technology and explicit teaching philosophy to deliver high-quality learning.

Responsibilities include curriculum planning, data-driven practice, and active participation in school ethos as a committed Christian.

Qualifications

• Current NSW Working With Children Check.
• Appropriate teaching qualifications for NSW.
• Experience with explicit direct instruction.
• Strong classroom management and communication skills.
• Willingness to participate in curriculum planning and development.

Job description

Our school is growing and we are adding additional primary classes! We are seeking a motivated and energetic teacher with a growth mindset and the ability to work in a collaborative environment. Our double streamed K-2, and single streamed 3-6 departments are dynamic teaching and learning environments, underpinned by an explicit teaching philosophy. All classrooms are well appointed and feature state of the art technology with smartboards and class sets of chromebooks.

The successful applicant must be able to participate in curriculum planning and development, value the role of data in developing quality teaching practice, implement explicit teaching practice and be prepared to think outside the square. The position is suitable for all levels of experience. Final class placement will be in consultation with the successful candidate.
