Job summary

Department of Education Victoria – Lavers Hill VIC invites applications for a classroom teacher based at our main campus. The role covers both Lavers Hill and GOALS at Colac, delivering a broad curriculum aligned with the Victorian Curriculum F-10 2.0 and supporting student learning across two campuses.

As a classroom teacher, you will plan, prepare and teach programs to achieve specific outcomes, with opportunities for leadership and specialist roles.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated knowledge of the relevant curriculum and ability to teach literacy and numeracy.
• Experience planning high-impact teaching strategies and evaluating student growth.
• Experience monitoring and assessing student learning and using data to inform practice.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills and ability to collaborate with students, parents and staff.
• Commitment to Department values and ongoing professional learning.

Responsibilities

• Direct teaching of groups and individual students.
• Contribute to curriculum development and evaluation within the school.
• Undertake other classroom duties as determined by the principal.
