About the Business Unit

The Department of Justice and Community Safety provides compliance, enforcement, and regulatory services to the Victorian Community.

The West Area comprises the Barwon Southwest and Grampians Regions, delivering a wide range of Justice services across central locations in Geelong and Warrnambool in the Barwon Southwest and Ballarat and Horsham in the Grampians Region, as well as a number of satellite locations.

About the Role

The Corporate Services Business unit is responsible for providing the region with a range of corporate support functions including human resources, finance and procurement, planning and reporting, fleet and facilities management, risk management, workforce development and general administration.

Key duties include:

  • Providing accurate and timely administrative support and client services
  • Providing information and assistance to clients, internal and external stakeholders and the public, including the collation, review and processing of applications
  • Providing reception duties, answering, forwarding and responding to telephone calls for locations
