Job summary

SK8Tech is seeking a junior WordPress developer to join our development team. The role focuses on implementing WordPress-based solutions, PHP, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, with attention to responsive design and aesthetics.

You will work across design, development, and deployment to deliver reliable, user-friendly websites. You will contribute to project planning, explore new tools, support clients, help maintain servers, and mentor peers as needed.

Qualifications

• In-depth knowledge of WordPress, PHP, jQuery, AJAX, Restful Web Services and SQL.
• Strong PHP back-end development skills.
• WordPress knowledge and extensive experience.
• Knowledge of change control systems, specifically Git and SVN.
• Excellent analytical skills with positive problem-solving attitude.
• Solid skills with WordPress theme and plugin development.
• Graphic design skills (Photoshop, Illustrator or equivalent).
• Understanding of web servers and how to coordinating technical solutions with hosting companies.

We are looking for a talented Junior WordPress developer to join our development team. The candidate should have a strong understanding of industry trends and content management systems. This position requires a combination of programming skills (namely PHP, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript) and aesthetics (understanding element arrangements on the screen, the colour and font choices, and so on). Experience with the responsive and adaptive design is strongly preferred. Also, an understanding of the entire web development process, including design, development, and deployment is preferred.
