Job summary

APD Global is seeking a Junior Transmission Lines Engineer to join the Brisbane team, delivering high-quality engineering for transmission line projects in Australia. You will contribute to design, modelling, and site work under experienced leadership.

Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor in Civil/Structural/Electrical and have at least 1 year of transmission lines experience with PLS-CADD, PLS-TOWER, and PLS-POLE familiarity, along with knowledge of relevant AS/NZS and ASCE standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor Degree in Civil, Structural or Electrical (or equivalent).
• Minimum of 1 year of transmission lines experience.
• Proficiency in PLS software (PLS-CADD, TOWER and POLE) desirable.
• Familiarity with Australian and international codes and standards relevant to transmission infrastructure (e.g., AS/NZS 7000, ASCE 74, and ASCE 10).

Responsibilities

• Supporting the end-to-end design of Transmission Lines including modelling, design of structures, and foundations.
• Concept and Detailed Design of Transmission Lines using PLS-CADD software
• Modelling of structures using PLS-TOWER, PLS-POLE
• Foundation designs – varying from normal concrete foundations to pile foundations
• Site visits and inspections as required
• Assisting with the preparation of proposals

About the role

We are currently looking for aJunior Transmission Lines Engineer - GridLinkx to join our Brisbane office. The Junior Transmission Line Engineer will deliver high-quality engineering and will be joining as a member of the strongest technical leadership team of Lines Engineering in Asia Pacific. They will be overseeing the design, implementation, and maintenance of transmission line projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Supporting the end-to-end design of Transmission Lines including modelling, design of structures, and foundations.
• Concept and Detailed Design of Transmission Lines using PLS-CADD software
• Modelling of structures using PLS-TOWER, PLS-POLE

What You’ll Bring
