Job summary

St Paul’s Grammar School in Sydney’s Greater West seeks a Junior School PE Teacher and Sport Coordinator to deliver high-quality physical education and coordinate all school sport in the Junior School. You will manage sporting events, liaise with external providers, and promote student participation in co-curricular activities.

The successful applicant will hold a degree, NSW NESA accreditation, and a passion for PE that inspires confidence, teamwork and sportsmanship.

Qualifications

• Degree-level qualification in PDHPE or related field.
• Accreditation to teach with NSW NESA.
• Understanding of the NSW NESA syllabus, especially PDHPE.
• ICT integration into teaching and learning.
• Well organised with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Passion for Physical Education and sport to inspire students.
• Professional, collaborative team member.

• Current Working with Children Check (WWCC).
• Membership of a local Christian church or community.

Junior School PE Teacher and Sport Coordinator

St Paul’s Grammar School is a co-educational, non-denominational Christian Grammar school located in Sydney’s Greater West. Position Summary:

The Junior School PE Teacher and Sport Coordinator is responsible for delivering high-quality physical education and coordinating all aspects of school sport in the Junior School. This includes managing sporting events, liaising with external providers, and promoting student participation in co-curricular activities. The role will work closely with the Secondary School Sport Coordinator.

Permanent Full-Time

Commencing in January 2027

The successful applicant will have:

• Appropriate qualifications and Experience, at the minimum of degree level.
• Accreditation to teach with NSW NESA.
• An understanding of the NSW NESA syllabus in relation to their discipline, particulary the PDHPE syllabus.
• Display a strong ability to integrate ICT into the teaching and learning of subjects.
• Highly organised and detail-oriented, with the ability to effectively manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• Passion for Physical Education and Sport with the ability to inspire and engage students of all abilities to develop confidence, teamwork and sportsmanship.
• Proven ability to work as a constructive and creative member of a team with a professional, courteous manner.
• Intermediate-level skills using computer- based applications, which include MS Office Suite (Edge, Chrome, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word and Excel).
• Current Working with Children Check (WWCC)
• Membership of a local Christian church or community
