St Leonard’s College invites applications for a dedicated Classroom Assistant to support Junior School students (Prep to Year 4) and teachers in creating a positive learning environment.

Under direction of the Classroom Teacher, you will provide practical student support, assist with routines, and help present and organise classroom materials. You will also support students during specialist lessons, events, recess and lunchtimes, contributing to a collaborative team approach.

Qualifications

• Qualifications in Education Support or equivalent
• Genuine passion for working with primary-aged students (Prep to Year 4)
• Strong interpersonal and collaborative skills
• Flexibility, initiative and proactive approach to supporting learning
• Excellent organisational and problem solving skills
• Current Working with Children Check or VIT registration
• Previous school experience is advantageous

Responsabilités

• Provide practical support to students and help establish classroom routines
• Support learning during class activities or with groups across Junior School
• Assist with presentation of the classroom and organisation of materials
• Support students beyond the classroom during specialist lessons, events, recess and lunchtimes
