Job summary

ForMotion Clinic Northmead is seeking a motivated and hands-on Prosthetic Technician, Level1 to join our technical team. This entry‑level role provides structured training to fabricate, repair and maintain prosthetic devices for improved mobility and quality of life.

No prior prosthetics experience is required, and you will learn under experienced Prosthetists and Technicians. As part of a collaborative multidisciplinary team, you will progressively build knowledge, independence and technical

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a trade or workshop is advantageous but not essential.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
• Good organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to follow instructions and work effectively within a team.
• Proactive attitude and willingness to learn new skills.
• Sound communication skills.
• Commitment to workplace safety and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Assist with fabrication, repair and modification of prosthetic devices with guidance from Senior Technicians.
• Learn and apply a range of manufacturing processes, materials and techniques.
• Maintain high standards of quality, workmanship and attention to detail.
• Support workshop operations, equipment maintenance and stock management.
• Complete required documentation accurately.
• Work safely and contribute to a positive workshop environment.
• Participate in training and competency-based learning activities.
• Collaborate with Prosthetists, Technicians and team members to support client outcomes.
