Overview

Our client is offering an exciting opportunity for an Entry-Level IT Project Coordinator to join their expanding IT team based in Melbournes Western Suburbs. This hybrid position requires attendance in the office three days per week and begins as a 6-month contract, with strong potential for extension for the right candidate.

In this role, you\'ll assist in the planning, execution, and delivery of a range of technology projects across multiple departments. The ideal candidate is organised, proactive, and eager to develop their skills in IT project management within a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Key responsibilities
  • Assist in coordinating project activities, resources, equipment, and information
  • Support project managers in monitoring project progress and handling routine administrative tasks
  • Help prepare and maintain comprehensive project documentation, plans, and reports
  • Schedule and organise meetings, track action items, and take meeting notes
  • Communicate with internal teams to ensure project requirements and deadlines are met
  • Maintain project tracking tools such as task lists, Gantt charts, or dashboards
  • Help identify and resolve simple project issues or escalate as needed
  • Support in ensuring projects adhere to frameworks and all documentation is maintained appropriately
The successful candidate will have
  • Bachelors degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business, or a related field (or in final year of study)
  • Strong interest in IT systems, software development, and/or project management
  • Excellent organisational and time-management skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Basic knowledge of project management tools is a plus
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
