Planning & Environmental Lawyer (1 - 3 + years) National Firm Brisbane CBD

A long-established national commercial law firm is adding a junior lawyer to its Brisbane Planning & Environment team. It is a large, well-resourced practice with a strong pipeline of work, and you would report directly to a Senior Team member and have access to a Partner who is known for developing junior lawyers into good ones. Mentoring on a daily basis!

What you’ll actually do

You will run your own files from the start, with real court exposure, not a watching brief. The work is varied and complex, and it changes daily:

• Litigation in the Planning & Environment Court

• Environmental impact assessments

• Planning scheme amendments and approvals

• Project approvals under State and Federal legislation

• Land acquisition and access

• Regulatory compliance, enforcement and disputes

You will work alongside senior lawyers who have time to teach, and a Partner who takes mentoring seriously.
