Job summary

Perth Radiological Clinic in Western Australia is seeking a Junior Medical Receptionist for a permanent full-time role, based across Shenton House, Joondalup Health Campus and Alkimos clinics. You will receive full training during the first eight weeks and ongoing support to help you succeed.

You will greet patients, assist during imaging procedures as a chaperone, perform administrative tasks, and act as a communications link between staff, technicians and doctors.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience in a customer service role.
• Professional written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to learn and use new software quickly.

Responsibilities

• Provide a warm and welcoming experience for patients at the front desk.
• Assist during medical imaging procedures as a chaperone, ensuring patient comfort and safety.
• Complete administrative tasks such as preparing and printing consent forms.
• Pack and dispatch films/CDs for courier delivery in a timely manner.
• Act as a key communication link between staff, technicians, and doctors.
• Maintain an organised and welcoming reception and kitchen area.
• Coordinate refreshments for doctors.
• Handle confidential documents securely and maintain privacy protocols.
• Follow up on outstanding reports to ensure timely completion and accuracy.

About the role

We have an exciting opportunity for a Junior Medical Receptionist to join Perth Radiological Clinic in a permanent full-time role between our Shenton House, Joondalup Health Campus and Alkimos clinics.

This is a great opportunity for someone early in their career looking to build experience in a professional, patient-facing environment. You’ll receive full training during the first eight weeks and ongoing support to help you succeed.

Reporting to the Clerical Supervisor, your responsibilities will include:

• Providing a warm and welcoming experience for patients at the front desk
• Assisting during medical imaging procedures as a chaperone, ensuring patient comfort and safety
• Completing administrative tasks such as preparing and printing consent forms
• Packing and dispatching films/CDs for courier delivery in a timely manner
• Acting as a key communication link between staff, technicians, and doctors
• Maintaining an organised and welcoming reception and kitchen area
• Coordinating refreshments for doctors
• Handling confidential documents securely and maintaining privacy protocols
• Following up on outstanding reports to ensure timely completion and accuracy

To be considered for this role, you will ideally have:

• Demonstrated experience in a customer service role
• Professional written and verbal communication skills
• The ability to learn and use new software and systems quickly
• A valid driver’s licence and reliable transport
• Full Australian working rights (with unrestricted visa status if applicable)
• A valid National Police Check (within 6 months) or willingness to obtain one
