You will be provided the opportunity to develop your legal skills in a friendly and supportive environment and your responsibilities will include:

  • Strong focus on reviewing, drafting and advising on various client and commercial contracts and BDO's Standard Terms of Trade; enhance your ability to negotiate and manage complex agreements.
  • Manage BDO's Contracts Repository; maximise service delivery through dedicated contracts lifecycle management software
  • Researching legal issues that affect the Firm; deepen your understanding of legal principles and enhance your ability to provide commercial and well-informed advice.
  • Assisting the Legal team to update the business on legal developments and provide training; enhance your ability to translate complex legal concepts into practical guidance.

Do you have the following?

You enjoy working in a friendly, collaborative and high-performing environment. You have commercial acumen and a strong work ethic, as well as the following:

  • Bachelor of Laws (or Juris Doctor) and eligible to practice in an Australian State or Territory.
  • Likely suit someone with minimum one years PQE (private practice experience will be highly regarded).
  • A keen interest in contracts and commercial law and developing your legal skills.
  • Research and analysis: ability to interpret the law and develop practical and commercial solutions.
