Job summary

HVN Group Contracting Pty Ltd is seeking a Junior Labourer (Metal roofing & Fascia & Gutter) to join our Worongary team. This casual role supports experienced tradespeople and site supervisors on construction sites in Worongary, QLD.

You will assist with roofing labouring, equipment handling, site cleaning, and safety compliance, with on-the-job training to help you progress in the trades. Must be 18+, hold a drivers license, and obtain a White Card if not already held.

Qualifications

• Must be 18+ years and hold a valid Australian drivers license.
• Physical fitness and ability to perform manual labour tasks and lift heavy items regularly.
• White Card (Construction Induction) or willingness to obtain one.
• Willingness to learn and follow instructions from experienced supervisors.
• Excellent communication and a collaborative team approach.

Responsibilities

• Assisting experienced tradespeople and supervisors on various construction and contracting sites
• Preparing work areas, including clearing, cleaning and organising materials and tools
• Moving, handling and storing materials, equipment and supplies safely
• Performing general roofing labouring when required, based around installation of new fascia and guttering products to homes
• Assisting with scaffolding (lightweight)
• Operating hand tools and power tools under supervision
• Maintaining site cleanliness and adhering to housekeeping standards
• Working at heights
• Following all health and safety protocols and procedures at all times
• Communicating effectively with team members and reporting any issues or concerns to supervisors

HVN Group Contracting Pty Ltd is seeking a Junior Labourer (Metal roofing & Fascia & Gutter) to join our dynamic team. This is a casual position based in Worongary, QLD 4213. As a Junior Labourer, you will play a vital role in supporting our construction and contracting operations, assisting experienced tradespeople and site supervisors to ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently and to the highest standards. This entry-level position is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the trades and services industry whilst developing valuable skills that will benefit your career progression.

Key responsibilities

• Basic understanding of health and safety requirements on construction sites
• Excellent communication skills and a collaborative team approach
• A positive attitude and enthusiasm for working in the trades industry
• Relevant construction induction card (White Card) or willingness to obtain one
• Previous experience in labouring, construction or trades work is advantageous but not essential for enthusiastic candidates
