Job summary

JB Interior Fitouts in Caringbah NSW is seeking a Junior Joinery Drafter to translate design concepts and client specifications into precise technical drawings using CabMaster. The role sits within a growing team alongside our Senior Draftsman and will support manufacturing and installation processes.

You will produce detailed joinery drawings, interpret briefs, and collaborate with architects and designers to ensure accuracy and quality across hi-end residential and commercial projects.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in CabMaster with joinery/cabinet work portfolio.
• Ability to read and produce technical drawings to industry standards.
• Attention to detail with high accuracy in measurements.
• Strong communication and collaboration with designers, carpenters and clients.
• Formal qualification in Drafting/Joinery/Cabinet Making preferred.

Responsibilities

• Produce detailed joinery and cabinet drawings using CabMaster.
• Interpret briefs, specs, and plans to create technical docs.
• Collaborate with architects, designers, joiners to meet specs.
• Manage revisions and updates in response to feedback.
• Ensure drawings comply with industry standards in joinery.
• Prepare cutting lists and material schedules.
• Communicate design clarifications and technical requirements with clients.
• Maintain organised digital filing systems and project docs.
• Support production by providing clear drawings to minimise errors.
