Job summary

AA Cabinetry in Smithfield, NSW, is seeking a Junior Draftsman/Cabinet Maker to join our growing team. This full-time role offers hands-on training in bespoke cabinetry design, technical drafting, and quality craftsmanship.

You will assist in creating detailed drawings using CAD software, support production in the workshop, and learn material lists, cutting schedules, and component fabrication. Immediate start for the right candidate.

Qualifications

• No prior experience required; keen to learn cabinet making and design.
• Willingness to learn CAD and design software.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to interpret drawings.
• Good communication and customer service awareness.
• Driver's licence desirable for site visits.

Responsibilities

• Assist in creating detailed technical drawings and designs for bespoke cabinet projects using CAD software
• Support the production team in the workshop, learning and executing quality cabinet making techniques
• Prepare material lists and cutting schedules based on approved designs
• Contribute to the fabrication of cabinet components, including cutting, machining, assembly and finishing
• Inspect finished products to ensure they meet design specifications and quality standards
