Qualifications

  • 2+ years' experience in a Chartered Accounting Practice.
  • Chartered Accountant qualification or in progress.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Partners to complete client work in a timely manner.
  • Prepare Financial Statements and Income Tax Returns.

The Opportunity

As a Junior or Intermediate Accountant, you will be an important part in enabling Kelly+Partners’ next phase of growth. You will become an integral part of the broader team and be mentored by Partners to help you grow into leadership positions. Kelly+Partners is committed to providing learning and development opportunities for all our team, ensuring that you would have the resources and training to support you on this journey.

Position Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Partners and team members to ensure client work is completed in a timely manner
  • Take lead in the preparation Financial Statements and Income Tax Returns for individuals, companies, trusts, partnerships and SMSFs
  • Prepare BAS, IAS, FBT, CGT and PAYG for a variety of companies and trusts
  • Prepare and deliver annual workers compensation and payroll tax reconciliations
  • Be coached directly by an experienced Partner with an aim to manage a diverse portfolio of clients
  • Liaise with various statutory authorities on behalf of clients
  • Help provide an exceptional service to our clients
  • Participate in training seminars, team meetings and social events
  • Offer support and training to junior team members

About You

  • 2+ years' experience in a Chartered Accounting Practice
  • Chartered Accountant qualification or in progress
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting or similar
  • Experience using accounting software, including MYOB AE, HowNow, Active Ledger, APS, MYOB, Xero and Quickbooks
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Committed to providing exceptional service to our clients
  • Proactive, self-motivated and enthusiastic
