Job summary

Colin Biggers & Paisley is seeking a Grad or junior Solicitor to join the Brisbane Insurance Team. The role focuses on complex insurance work and disputes for domestic and international insurers. You will work with senior practitioners and have some autonomy to run your own matters.

The successful candidate will advise on liability, defence strategies and settlements, while developing client relationships and managing a varied caseload within a supportive, high-performing environment.

Qualifications

• Grad with admission to practice and experience in defendant general liability matters.
• Exposure to business development and ability to build strong client relationships.
• Ability to manage client expectations and run matters autonomously.
• Interested in establishing a long-term successful career with Colin Biggers & Paisley.
• Ability to relate to people at all levels and work in a team.

Responsibilities

• Advise on liability and quantum, indemnity issues and defence strategies for personal injury claims.
• Attend settlement conferences, mediations and court appearances (with or without counsel).
• Manage a varied file load with strong organisation and prioritisation.
• Develop an understanding of client operations and nurture long-term client relationships.
