Sarinas Legal is seeking a motivated Junior Lawyer/Graduate to join our Townsville practice. You will engage in a broad range of matters, from litigation and commercial law to family, estates and property, gaining practical experience across diverse areas.

You will work under direct mentoring from a principal solicitor, participate in client conferences, negotiations and court proceedings, and gradually take on increasing responsibility as your abilities grow.

Responsibilities

• Conduct legal research and develop legal arguments.
• Prepare legal advice, correspondence, agreements and court documents.

• Attend client conferences, negotiations, mediations and court proceedings.
• Assist with preparation and conduct of substantial litigation.
• Develop strategies to resolve complex legal and commercial problems.
• Progressively manage matters with increasing independence.

About the Role

You will be involved in a broad range of matters, including:

• Litigation and dispute resolution - involvement in significant disputes, preparation of court proceedings, evidence, submissions and appearances in court.
• Commercial and business law - advising on commercial arrangements, business acquisitions and sales, contractual obligations and commercial transactions.
• Family law - involvement in parenting disputes, property settlements, financial proceedings and contested litigation.
• Estates and inheritance law - estate administration, succession planning, contested estates and inheritance disputes.
• Negligence and contract law - advising on contractual disputes, claims for damages and matters involving professional and other negligence.
• Property law - residential and commercial property transactions, contracts, leasing and associated disputes.

Key Responsibilities

• Conducting legal research and developing legal arguments.
