Job summary

Secure Bits is seeking a Junior Electrical Engineer to join our Critical Infrastructure team, delivering hands-on work on EMS, EPMS and SCADA in data centres and critical facilities. You will gain exposure across the full project lifecycle, from design through commissioning, while collaborating with experienced engineers.

The role involves site work across Sydney and occasional travel to Canberra, with remote design tasks.

Qualifications

• Hold a relevant Electrical Engineering degree.
• Strong foundational electrical engineering knowledge.
• Clear written communication and documentation skills.
• Comfort working on construction sites and in operational facilities.
• Ability to work independently when at home or on site.
• Show initiative and problem-solving attitude.
• Organised, adaptable and safety conscious.
• Exposure to programming concepts is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the design and implementation of EMS, EPMS and SCADA systems.
• Create electrical schematics, layouts and technical documentation.
• Perform system testing, validation and commissioning.
• Attend customer and construction sites for project delivery.
• Prepare handover documentation, as-builts and commissioning reports.
• Collaborate with suppliers and contractors; contribute to processes.
