Job summary

Quad Lock in Melbourne is seeking a Junior Developer to help build, maintain and improve our ecommerce platform spanning D2C and B2B Shopify stores. You’ll work closely with the Senior Developer to implement functionality, support AB testing and analytics, and assist with content management and product data setup in Shopify.

This learning‑oriented role focuses on building strong ecommerce development fundamentals while delivering real value from day one.

Qualifications

• Proven experience working within Shopify's ecosystem (Liquid, HTML and CSS).
• Experience with React and TypeScript in an ecommerce setting.
• Knowledge of GraphQL/REST APIs and Node.js.

Responsibilities

• Develop website functionality using React, HTML, SCSS, TypeScript and JS.
• Deliver website performance improvements with guidance from Senior Developer.
• Support product launches by assisting with content management and product data setup in Shopify.
• Assist AB testing and analytics implementation and dashboards used by the team.
• Collaborate with Operations, Marketing, Customer Service and IT teams as required.

About the Role

Quad Lock's ecommerce platform spans D2C and B2B Shopify stores, POS, and connected sales channels across multiple global markets. The Junior Developer plays a hands‑on role in building, maintaining, and improving this platform, collaborating with the Senior Developer to deliver functionality and support the wider business.

Direction and prioritisation come from the Senior Developer. Customer behaviour analysis and AB testing strategy sit with the Digital Analytics & Optimisation Manager, with this role providing implementation support. This is a learning‑oriented role designed to build strong ecommerce development fundamentals while contributing real value from day one.

Development

• Develop website functionality improvements using React, HTML, SCSS, TypeScript, and JS
• Deliver website performance optimisations with support from the Senior Developer
• Support new product launches by assisting with content management and product data setup in Shopify
• Carry out website testing and contribute to building and maintaining a website testing plan

Supporting AB Testing & Analytics

• Assist with the technical implementation of AB tests, working from briefs provided by the Digital Analytics & Optimisation Manager and Senior Developer
• Support tracking and tagging implementation needed for accurate behavioural reporting
• Help maintain and troubleshoot dashboards and reporting tools used by the wider team

Platform & Systems Support

• Assist with Zendesk theme management and related customisation work
• Support integrations with systems such as Klaviyo and other connected platforms
• Maintain awareness of Shopify admin processes and assist with day-to-day platform administration tasks

Collaboration

• Collaborate with Operations, Marketing, Customer Service, and IT teams as required
• Work closely with the Senior Developer to learn Quad Lock's systems, codebase, and technical decision history
• Take on additional duties as required, with a focus on building broad ecommerce development capability

Qualifications

• Proven experience working within Shopify's ecosystem: Liquid, HTML, and CSS
• Experience working with React
• Experience working with TypeScript
• Exposure to or experience working in an e‑commerce environment
• Working knowledge of Shopify admin processes
• GraphQL / REST API knowledge
• Node.js experience
• Familiarity with Git processes and working as part of a development team
• Experience working with multilingual or multi‑region e‑commerce setups
• Familiarity with Sanity content management system
• Exposure to Zendesk development or customisation
• Interest in or exposure to AB testing and behavioural analytics
