Macquarie Group is seeking a Junior Data Quality and Governance Analyst in Sydney to support the data lifecycle governance and management practices across the organization. You will design, implement, and oversee data quality, data architecture, records management and AI governance to meet minimum framework requirements.

You will build strong relationships with stakeholders, understand their needs, and contribute to improving data handling and risk management across the enterprise.

Qualificações

• 2–7 years experience in data management or data quality.
• Ability to analyse data technically and produce insights, supported by clear communication.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and ability to drive cross-team collaboration.

Join our dynamic Group Data Office team and collaborate across the Corporate Operations Group to establish and uphold best practices in data, records and AI governance. Leveraging our expertise in data lifecycle management, we work closely with stakeholders to help them effectively manage data-related risks and identify opportunities for improvement and increased efficiency in data handling.

What role will you play?

You will play a key hands-on role in supporting the division as we adopt, implement, and oversee effective and consistent data lifecycle governance and management practices. This includes areas such as data quality management, data architecture, records management and AI governance. Drawing on your expertise, you will design and deliver best practice solutions to categorise, document, understand, manage and govern data throughout its lifecycle, in alignment with our Frameworks’ minimum requirements. You will also build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders across the division, gaining a deep understanding of their needs and expanding your knowledge of business and operational processes across the enterprise.

What you offer

• 2 to 7 years experience in data management, records management or data quality, ideally within financial services
• Ability to analyse data technically, develop and produce reports with meaningful insights, supported by excellent communication skills
• Self-sufficient, taking accountability for end-to-end delivery, managing multiple priorities
• Ability to work collaboratively within and across teams, as well as provide leadership guidance and advice to the team
• Experience in managing and delivering change initiatives.
