Job summary
HiTech Personnel is assisting a Federal Government agency to hire a Junior Data Engineer in Canberra or Melbourne. The role focuses on secure ingestion, preparation and transformation of vendor data for reporting and analysis, using SQL, Azure Data Factory, Microsoft Fabric and Power BI.
The position offers a 6-month initial contract with potential extensions, and a hybrid work arrangement. You will collaborate with stakeholders to ensure data quality and compliance while developing modern data
Qualifications
- Proven SQL data querying, transformation and validation.
- Experience with Azure Data Factory and Microsoft Fabric dataflows and pipelines.
- Experience in Power BI data preparation, modelling and reporting.
Responsibilities
- Querying, transforming and validating data using SQL.
- Building and monitoring data pipelines using Azure Data Factory and Microsoft Fabric.
- Preparing and modelling data for Power BI reporting and analysis.
- Performing data quality checks, troubleshooting issues and securely handling sensitive data.
- Collaborating with stakeholders to support data requirements.
