Job summary

RDA Research is seeking a Data Analyst/Scientist to translate client problems into analytical solutions using the geoTribes Platform. You will work with Python and SQL in a collaborative team to deliver impactful insights from demographics, consumer behaviour, and retail spatial modelling.

Qualifications

• A degree with a strong quantitative major such as physics, statistics, mathematics or a related discipline, with at least a distinction average.
• A quantitative double major is highly regarded, especially with statistics.
• A deep understanding of statistical concepts and methods and their application to real-world problems is essential.

Our geoTribes Platform brings these together, helping some of Australia’s best companies in media, retail and financial services power their customer analytics and insights, out-of-home campaigns and retail network planning.

We’re looking for an inquisitive and sharp-minded Data Analyst / Scientist to grow our Professional Data Team.

The Role

As a Data Analyst / Scientist at RDA, you’ll understand client problems and use those insights to shape how we develop and apply the Human Insights Data in our geoTribes Platform.

You’ll work within a collaborative and professional technical team, primarily in Python and SQL, using AI coding tools like Claude Code and Codex as part of your everyday workflow to deliver highly effective project outcomes.

The role is grounded in demographics, consumer behaviour and retail spatial modelling, and how they come together to shape business decisions. The result is work that combines technical rigour with real-world impact and offers room to build a long-term career.

What You’ll Do

Refine the methods and processes behind our Human Insights Data, using critical thinking and a sharp understanding of clients’ needs to support continuous improvement and innovation.

Work with clients to understand their business objectives and use our geoTribes Platform and its Human Insights Data to deliver analytical solutions that meet their needs.

Present and explain analytical findings, sometimes to non-technical audiences.

Take ownership of delivering high-quality projects from problem framing through to solution implementation.

Apply and develop your statistical skills in demand and consumer modelling, data fusion, segmentation, and geospatial analysis.

What You’ll Bring

A degree with a strong quantitative major such as physics, statistics, mathematics or a related discipline, with at least a distinction average.

Work experience in analytics, statistics or quantitative market research is desirable. Recent graduates with a strong academic record and relevant work experience are welcome to apply.

Strong Python and SQL programming skills.

Experience using AI tools (Claude Code, Codex or similar) or genuine enthusiasm to learn.

Excellent verbal and written English.
