Job summary

S&A Stairs in Braeside, VIC, Australia is seeking a Junior CNC Operator for a full-time role. You will join a close-knit CNC team and work Monday to Friday, 6:00 am - 2:30 pm, crafting custom timber stair components using world-class technology.

This entry-level position is ideal for someone with a strong work ethic and a desire to learn; CNC or machine shop experience is a bonus, and a current Australian driver’s license plus timber manufacturing exposure will help you hit the ground running.

About the role:

Join one of Australia's leading stair manufacturers at our Braeside branch as a full-time Junior CNC Operator! This is an entry-level opportunity where you'll be part of a close-knit and high-performing CNC team, working Monday to Friday, 6:00 am - 2:30 pm. This is your opportunity to play a vital role in crafting custom, high-quality stair components using world-class technology.

What you'll be doing:

• Assist in the production of various solid timber stair components
• Regular maintenance and upkeep of machines and tools
• Working in a supportive team environment

Your work will rotate on the following machines -

• Flatbed Woodtron
• 3 x Pod & Rail 5axis Biesse Rover A
• Pod & Rail 5axis Biesse Rover C

What you'll bring:

We're looking for someone who brings a strong work ethic, and an eagerness to learn. Ideally, you have:

• CNC or machine shop experience (bonus points!)
• A current Australian drivers licence
• Experience in timber manufacturing or a similar industry
• Australian citizenship or permanent residency
