Job summary

Evolve Scientific seeks a Graduate or Junior Biochemist for a 12-month contract in a specialised production and purification laboratory. You will assist with synthesis, purification and characterisation of deuterium-labelled molecules, following established protocols and using advanced analytical instruments.

This role is ideal for a recent graduate building hands‑on lab experience within government‑level facilities.

Qualifications

• Recent graduates encouraged to apply; Honours highly regarded.
• Practical laboratory experience from university, research or industry.
• Exposure to chromatography, MS, NMR, IR or protein purification.

Responsibilities

• Synthesize deuterium‑labelled molecules using established methods.
• Purify and characterise molecules using laboratory techniques.
• Operate chromatography, MS, NMR and IR systems.
• Maintain and troubleshoot assigned laboratory instruments.
• Support laboratory operations, documentation, safety and quality.

Degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biotechnology or a related discipline
