Job summary

Heatherbrae's Pies is seeking a Junior Pastry Chef Apprentice to start a rewarding career at our Sutton Forest bakery in the Southern Highlands. You may be a school leaver with an interest in cooking or food production, or an apprentice in 1st–3rd year seeking a change of scenery with a friendly team.

The role offers hands-on training in pastry, pie fillings and bread varieties within a long-standing, independent family-owned business known for its multi-award-winning pies and pastries.

Responsibilities

• How to put together recipes and cook gourmet pie fillings
• To prepare a range of pastry types; Puff, Crust, Shortbread etc
• How to prepare different bread types, white, fruit, banana bread etc

Heatherbrae's Pies is on the lookout for an energetic and committed Junior Pastry Chef Apprentice who is keen to establish a rewarding career at our Sutton Forest bakery in the Southern Highlands.

You may be a school leaver that has an interest in cooking or food production and is looking for an excellent opportunity to get into the workforce and establish a long-term career with a friendly team, or alternatively you may have already commenced your apprenticeship (1st, 2nd or 3rd year) but are looking for a change of scenery with a new employer.
