Job summary

Forma italia on the Gold Coast is seeking a motivated Graduate Architect who is passionate about design and eager to contribute in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. The role involves more than drafting, with diverse tasks and opportunities to join the sales team in the future.

Based on the Gold Coast, we specialise in custom-made joinery for residential homes, manufactured in Italy and imported to Australia.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
• A proactive and adaptable approach, willing to take on diverse responsibilities as needed.
• Keen to be part of a small team and comfortable multitasking as we work on multiple projects at once, at varying stages of design.
• Ability to communicate with clients and be part of the sales team.
• Eager to run all levels of a project, from client communication and initial sketch design to detailed joinery documentation.
• Able to conduct site visits for client measurements and project assessments.
• Capable of supervising and assisting with the handling and delivery of goods at client sites and depot locations in Brisbane, ensuring all received goods match packing slips from overseas suppliers.
• Able to assist our head designer at multiple design stages and provide necessary support.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support design development from sketches to joinery documentation.
• Coordinate with clients, builders and consultants to ensure on-time project delivery.
• Assist head designer across multiple design stages and project coordination.
• Conduct site visits for measurements and assessments to inform design decisions.

We are seeking a motivated Graduate Architect, most importantly, we need someone who is passionate about design and eager to be part of an easy-going, fast-paced, and dynamic business environment. This role will require diverse tasks beyond drafting, and we are looking for someone who is adaptable, proactive, and willing to take ownership of responsibilities. There is also potential to join the sales team down the track.

Based in the Gold Coast, we are a kitchen and full joinery showroom solution. We specialise in custom-made joinery for residential homes, manufactured in Italy and imported into Australia. Our environment is collaborative and relaxed, where we work on numerous exciting projects, from smaller renovations to larger new builds.
