Rural Lifestyle Options Australia is looking for a capable and motivated Junior Accountant to join our Finance team in Redland Bay.
This is an excellent opportunity for an emerging accounting professional who already has practical accounting experience and is ready to broaden their capability across financial accounting, reconciliations, NDIS and aged care funding, accounts receivable, reporting, payroll support and audit preparation.
You’ll work closely with our Head of Finance, Management Accountant and Finance Officer, while partnering with operational teams across the organisation. This is a hands‑on role where you’ll be encouraged to investigate issues, improve processes and build your accounting capability and independence.
We are looking for someone who combines strong attention to detail with curiosity and problem‑solving ability. You won't simply process information—you'll be comfortable investigating discrepancies, following issues through to resolution and knowing when something needs to be escalated.
You’ll ideally bring:
Experience with NDIS billing and claiming, Support at Home or aged care financial processing, payroll, the SCHADS Award, MYOB AccountRight, external audit or the not-for-profit/community services sector would be highly regarded but is not essential.
This role offers more than transactional accounting. You'll have the opportunity to develop broader accounting capability across financial accounting, funded service environments, reporting, systems and process improvement.
You'll join an organisation that values respect, integrity, inclusion, accountability, collaboration and continuous improvement, while knowing that the work you do behind the scenes contributes to sustainable services for the people and communities we support.
A current NDIS Worker Screening Clearance, or the ability to obtain one prior to commencement, is required.
