Job summary

Eighteen33 Pty Ltd is seeking a WHS Officer to promote health and safety onsite for a range of clients. The role covers inspections, risk assessments, audits, toolbox talks and client liaison to identify WHS needs.

You will join a small, high-performing team from our Raymond Terrace office, with visits to clients regionally, and extensive opportunities to build your WHS expertise. You must have a minimum of 2 years in a WHS Officer role and a Certificate IV in WHS.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years’ experience in a WHS Officer role.
• Minimum Certificate IV Work Health and Safety.
• Lead Auditor skill set is desirable.
• Strong Microsoft Office Suite skills (Excel, Outlook, SharePoint) and meticulous documentation.
• Ability to build client relationships and assess WHS needs.

Responsibilities

• Promote health and safety onsite across diverse businesses and industries.
• Deliver inspections, risk assessments, audits, meetings and toolbox talks.
• Develop client relationships to understand WHS needs and propose solutions.
• Manage projects end to end, prioritise workload and meet deadlines.

Salary: based on experience, up to $90,000 for the right candidate

This is a fantastic opportunity to be onsite to promote health and safety in the workplace.

You’ll be part of a small, high-performing and fun team. This is a diverse and reactive role where you’ll need to adapt and prioritise on the go. Here’s what you’ll be doing:

Working onsite across a variety of businesses and industries to promote health and safety in the workplace

Getting hands‑on to build a proactive safety culture, expanding your technical skills as you go

Independently developing client relationships to understand their business and determine their WHS needs and solutions

Delivering services as the face of WHS - inspections, risk assessments, audits, meetings and toolbox talks

Building trust and consulting with workers, meeting WHS legal requirements

Managing projects end to end, setting priorities and meeting deadlines with exceptional organisational skills

Complementing our WHS team while we support your continued development in technical WHS, risk management and contemporary industry practice

What you bring

Minimum 2 year’s experience in a WHS Officer role

Minimum Certificate IV Work Health and Safety

Lead Auditor skill set (desirable)

A highly organised self‑starter who manages and prioritises workload effectively

Strong attention to detail across WHS documentation, data entry and compliance reporting

Exceptional skillset in Microsoft Suite including Excel, Outlook and SharePoint

This is an office-based role at our large modern office space in Raymond Terrace – about a 30 minute drive from Newcastle. You will also be visiting clients locally and intrastate.
