Job summary

Hutcheon & Pearce is seeking a Service Technician - Small Engine Mechanic to diagnose, service and repair small agricultural, turf and golf equipment. You will join Australia’s largest John Deere dealer and work with a team passionate about quality customer service.

You’ll participate in John Deere service training, manage workshop assets, and ensure accurate documentation while meeting deadlines. Strong problem-solving and independent work are valued in this hands-on role.

Qualifications

• Qualification in Light Vehicle Mechanics or equivalent.
• Current driver’s license.
• Self-motivated with attention to detail.
• Good teamwork and communication.
• Ability to use computer systems.
• Strong time management to meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Diagnostics, servicing and repairs on small agricultural and turf machinery.
• Participate in ongoing John Deere Service Training to build expertise.
• Maintain workshop assets, service vehicles, tools and inventory.
• Follow safety standards, procedures and company policies.
• Complete documentation and service records accurately and on time.
• Record labor time and materials for each job to support workflow transparency.
