Job summary

IAG Defence & National Security (DNS) is seeking an experienced Product Management professional to join a Defence communications program team in Canberra. This role supports capability delivery across product management, in-service support, and export control in a high-security environment.

You will coordinate with support contractors and stakeholders to keep sustainment, governance and transition activities on track, ensuring secure and compliant delivery of capabilities.

Qualifications

• Current NV1 security clearance is mandatory.
• Experience with fleet management and Foreign Military Sales (FMS).
• Knowledge of Australian/International Defence standards and regulations.
• Understanding of military Command and Control technologies is desirable.
• Experience in a Defence environment is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Provide product management services and coordinate In-Service Support with contractors.
• Develop, update and coordinate In-Service Support artefacts and monthly reporting.
• Manage Technical Assistance Agreements (TAAs) and Third-Party Retransfer (TPR) agreements.
• Support transition management activities, including documentation and impact assessments for new capability.
• Coordinate stakeholder engagement, governance activities and Configuration Control Board outcomes.

The Role

We're looking for an experienced Product Management professional to join a Defence communications program team in Canberra. This is a great opportunity to support capability delivery across product management, in-service support, and export control activities in a complex, high-security environment.

You'll coordinate closely with support contractors, the Capability Manager and other stakeholders, helping keep sustainment arrangements, governance and transition activities on track.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide product management services and coordinate In-Service Support arrangements with support contractors


• Develop, update and coordinate In-Service Support artefacts and monthly reporting


• Manage Technical Assistance Agreements (TAAs) and Third-Party Retransfer (TPR) agreements


• Support transition management activities, including documentation and impact assessments for new capability


• Coordinate stakeholder engagement, governance activities and Configuration Control Board outcomes

Required

• Current NV1 security clearance


• Relevant domain knowledge with current fleet management and Foreign Military Sales (FMS) experience


• Knowledge of relevant Australian and International Standards, regulations and Defence methodologies


• Understanding of military Command and Control technologies (e.g. Tactical Data Links) highly regarded


• Previous experience within CASG or a Defence environment highly regarded

Salary

$115,000 (incl. Super)
