Job summary

FinXL Professional Services, a leading IT consultancy, seeks a Java Developer to join our Software Engineering Practice and support a Government client on a 12-month contract in Sydney Olympic Park. The role centers on core Java and Spring development, with exposure to Angular, Docker, Kubernetes, and modern web frameworks.

Qualifications

Strong commercial development background with Java and the Spring framework ecosystem.
Solid hands-on experience with Angular and Node.js.
Practical experience using Python for backend development and automation scripting.

Responsibilities

Design, build, and maintain robust application features using Java and Spring framework.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary software teams to implement end-to-end features using Angular and Node.js.
Develop scripts and microservices utilizing Python to support core platform functionality.
Support containerization efforts and application deployment using Docker, Kubernetes, and Postman.
Assist in system modernization efforts to transition legacy solutions into integrated biometric platforms.
Participate in code reviews, technical testing, and quality assurance to ensure high system reliability.
