Job summary

Airservices Australia in Brisbane is seeking two Engineering Specialists (IT) to join the Aerodrome Platform portfolio, with entry-level IT systems experience welcome. You will join the Airways IT team delivering IT lifecycle, design and deployment for critical airways software across NAS.

As part of a safety-critical environment, you will work on architecture, real-time systems and security controls while growing systems engineering capabilities and collaborating with stakeholders nationwide.

Qualifications

• A degree in an appropriate Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering or Information Technology from an Australian tertiary institution or certified equivalent qualification.
• SDLC and system management practices across projects and environments.
• Experience with designing and implementing robust software systems is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical implementation, sustainment and enhancements of operational IT systems for NAS.
• Contribute to technical planning, design, development and verification of complex lifecycle systems.
• Support delivery of new and state-of-the-art systems for Air Traffic Control services.
• Collaborate with stakeholders and vendors; communicate across all levels of the organisation.

Engineering/Computer Science/Software Engineering/Information Technology degree (Australian tertiary)
