Job summary

TAFE NSW is seeking an IT Support Officer for the Centres of Excellence based at Kingswood or Meadowbank, on a temporary full-time basis until 30 June 2027. The role delivers high-quality technical support to staff, students and stakeholders across on-site and remote environments.

You'll diagnose and resolve a broad range of intermediate to complex issues, prioritise competing tasks, travel between campuses as needed, and contribute to service improvements while supporting innovative learning

• Diploma, Advanced Diploma or Associate Degree in a relevant discipline OR equivalent skills, knowledge and experience.

Responsibilities

$103,050 - $108,266 salary package - includes base salary ($90,971 - $95387), plus employer’s contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading

The TAFE NSW Centres of Excellence bring together the Construction Centre of Excellence, the Manufacturing Centres of Excellence, and the Institute of Applied Technology (IAT) Digital, a National Centre of Excellence, to support industry-led innovation, workforce development and skills excellence across priority sectors.

Through partnerships with industry, government, training providers and higher education institutions, the Centres develop and deliver industry-aligned education, applied research, and innovative workforce solutions that respond to current and emerging skills needs. About the role

As an IT Support Officer you will support the Construction Centre of Excellence and the Institute of Applied Technology Digital, a National Centre of Excellence based from either Kingswood or Meadowbank campus to provide high-quality technical support to staff, students and stakeholders.

Working in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, you will deliver both virtual and on-site support, diagnosing and resolving a broad range of intermediate to complex technical issues while ensuring an exceptional customer experience. This role offers variety, autonomy and the opportunity to make a tangible impact by supporting innovative learning environments and critical technology services. As part of a highly collaborative team, you will manage competing priorities, work closely with a diverse range of stakeholders and contribute to the continuous improvement of IT support services.

In line with our working flexibly procedure, this position requires onsite campus attendance at your base campus of either Kingswood or Meadowbank, for a minimum of three days per week with the option and flexibility of working two days at home. Based on operational needs you may be required to travel to the other campus and on occasion attend to work outside normal business hours when required.
