Job summary

Lyra Technology Group in Melbourne, Victoria is seeking an IT Support Engineer, Level 2 to join our team. This role involves working independently onsite as the sole technical resource, with remote work majority and about 1 day onsite per week.

You will provide hands-on support across customer environments, handle hardware, networking, and Microsoft technologies, travel between client sites as required, and collaborate with Team Leaders to maintain service quality and knowledge sharing.

Qualifications

• 3+ years’ experience in a Level 2 IT support role.
• MSP or customer-focused IT environment experience.
• Ability to act as a senior or “go-to” technical resource.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Hands-on hardware configuration and installations.
• Solid networking knowledge.
• Experience supporting customers across multiple locations.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Driver’s license and vehicle access.
• Ongoing professional development and funded certification support.
• Flexible working arrangements, WFH and onsite 1-2 days.
• Regular team events and collaborative culture.

Responsibilities

• Own and resolve Level 2 issues from escalation to resolution.
• Act as senior escalation point for complex issues.
• Provide hands-on support across hardware, networking and Microsoft technologies.
• Troubleshoot and configure network equipment and systems.
• Travel between client sites; travel costs reimbursed.
• Lead customer communication with clear updates.
• Maintain ticket ownership and documentation.
• Collaborate with Team Leaders to maintain service quality.
• Contribute to documentation and process improvements.
• Participate in projects with Client Solutions team.
• Demonstrate professional maturity while working independently.
