Job summary

VALD is seeking an IT Support Specialist to join the VALD IT Ops team in Brisbane. You’ll provide high-quality L1/2 support, manage Microsoft 365, Entra ID, Intune, and Defender, and help onboard new starters.

This role blends hands-on user support with cloud administration, endpoint security focus, and opportunities to grow alongside senior IT Ops leads in a global technology company serving 10,000+ clients.

Qualifications

• 1+ years' experience in IT support, helpdesk, or desktop support.
• Hands-on experience supporting Microsoft 365, Entra ID, and Windows/macOS environments.
• Familiarity with MDM solutions (like Microsoft Intune) and standard security practices.
• Exposure to PowerShell scripting or a strong desire to learn.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality L1/2 support across OS, network, and applications.
• Administer Microsoft Intune device enrollment, app deployment, and config for Windows/macOS.
• Manage user lifecycles, access permissions, and authentication issues in Entra ID and M365.
• Configure and deploy laptops, peripherals, and workspace setups for new starters.
• Develop scripts, automations, or docs to resolve recurring issues and improve the service desk.
• Collaborate on larger IT projects with senior IT Ops Lead and systems experts.
