Are you passionate about IT and love solving technical challenges while delivering outstanding customer service? Our client has an exciting opportunity available for a motivated IT Service Technician (Level 1) to join a progressive and client-focused IT services team.

The Opportunity

As part of the front-line support team, you’ll play a key role in ensuring client IT environments run without disruption. From logging and dispatching service requests to hands-on support with desktops, servers, and cloud systems, your focus will be on keeping technology reliable and users supported. You’ll work closely with colleagues to allocate tasks, resolve issues, and identify opportunities for improvement.

Your Day-to-Day
  • Act as the first contact for clients, answering calls and queries with professionalism and a solutions-focused approach.
  • Record and allocate service requests, ensuring technicians are scheduled effectively.
  • Diagnose and resolve entry-level technical issues, escalating complex problems when needed.
  • Provide support for desktop systems, software applications, and cloud platforms.
  • Assist with system builds, installations, and routine maintenance.
  • Monitor system performance and suggest improvements to keep networks running smoothly.
  • Maintain clear communication with clients, offering updates in plain, user-friendly language.
  • Contribute to a positive team environment by supporting colleagues and sharing knowledge.

What You Bring

  • A diploma in IT or equivalent experience.
  • Graduates are considered but candidates with around 3-6 months exposure to IT support or network operations would be ideal.
  • Strong skills in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues quickly.
  • Familiarity with hardware, software, and cloud environments.
  • Clear and confident communication skills, with a client-first mindset.
  • Ability to juggle competing priorities and deliver results under pressure.
  • A professional, well-presented manner with enthusiasm and a willingness to learn.
  • You will need a QLD Drivers Licence and your own vehicle.
