Job summary

MicrotechDPS is hiring a Level 3 IT Engineer to help clients move from complexity to clarity. You will deliver robust, future-ready IT solutions and lead complex technical challenges in a hands-on role.

You’ll work with enterprise and SMB customers, leading design and delivery while mentoring peers. The position offers hybrid work arrangements from Wagga Wagga or Wodonga offices and a focus on regional values and growth.

Qualifications

• Senior engineer with MSP background and diverse client environments.
• Advanced knowledge of Windows Server, AD, DNS/DHCP, M365 and Azure.
• Experience with virtualization technologies (VMware/Hyper-V) and cloud environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and delivery of tailored client solutions aligned to goals.
• Act as technical escalation point for complex issues.
• Oversee end-to-end delivery of infrastructure projects incl. server/network migrations.
• Contribute to pre-sales solution design with clear technical guidance.
• Advise on current and emerging technologies to improve outcomes.
• Mentor and support other engineers to lift team capability.

ABOUT THE ROLE

As a Level 3 IT Engineer, you’ll play a key role in helping our clients move from complexity to clarity.

You’ll work alongside a collaborative and experienced team, designing and delivering robust, future‑ready IT solutions that give our clients confidence, control, and peace of mind. This is a hands‑on, senior technical role where your expertise directly shapes outcomes for our clients and supports the continued growth of MicrotechDPS. You’ll be trusted to lead, solve complex problems, and guide both clients and colleagues through technical challenges. You will be working directly with our enterprise and SMB customers to drive technical solutions and outcomes.

This role can be based in either our Wagga Wagga or Wodonga office, with hybrid work-from-home arrangements available.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

• Leading the design and delivery of tailored client solutions, aligned to business goals and technology strategies ensuring industry best practices are followed
• Acting as a technical escalation point, diagnosing and resolving complex issues
• Overseeing the end‑to‑end delivery of infrastructure projects, including server and network implementations and migrations.
• Contributing to pre‑sales solution design, supporting the sales team with clear technical guidance.
• Advising on current and emerging technologies, and how they can be integrated to improve client outcomes.
• Mentoring and supporting other engineers, sharing knowledge and lifting capability across the team

ABOUT YOU

You’re a senior engineer who is confident working across a variety of technologies, has a solutions-focused mindset and enjoys helping others succeed.

You Bring:

• Experience in a Managed Service Provider (MSP) environment, or a strong understanding of MSP operations and diverse client environments
• Advanced knowledge of: Windows Server, Active Directory, DNS and DHCP, Microsoft 365 and Microsoft Azure, Virtualisation (VMWare/Hyper-V)
• A solid understanding of IT infrastructure, networking, and modern cloud environments
• A valid Class C driver’s licence
• A valid National Police Check or willingness to undertake.
