Job summary

Goodstart Early Learning in Murarrie, QLD is seeking an ICT Security Risk & Compliance Lead to drive risk, governance and compliance across our national organisation. This permanent full-time role partners with the ICT Manager - Security & Risk to strengthen risk frameworks and controls.

You will lead risk management initiatives, develop policies, support audits, and translate technical risk concepts into practical business outcomes for our child-focused organisation.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in ICT risk, governance, and information security within a complex organisation.
• Ability to develop and maintain policies, standards, procedures and risk registers.
• Experience supporting internal and external audits and evidence collection.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Familiarity with ISO27001 and PCI-DSS frameworks.
• Current Queensland Working with Children Check.

Role: ICT Security Risk & Compliance Lead

Lead risk, compliance and governance initiatives that help protect one of Australia's largest early learning organisations.

At Goodstart, we're looking for an experienced risk and compliance professional who can drive ICT governance, security risk management and compliance activities across a complex national environment. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys partnering with stakeholders, strengthening risk frameworks, supporting audits, developing policies and translating technical risk concepts into practical business outcomes.

Working closely with the ICT Manager - Security & Risk, you'll play a key role in ensuring ICT risks are identified, managed and reported in line with organisational risk appetite and regulatory requirements.

Your Impact:

As the ICT Security Risk & Compliance Lead, you will play a key role in strengthening Goodstart’s ICT risk, governance and compliance capability. You will lead the development and continuous improvement of risk management frameworks, policies and controls, ensuring ICT risks are effectively identified, managed and reported. By partnering with stakeholders across the business, you'll drive audit and compliance activities, champion cyber risk awareness, and help protect Goodstart’s systems, data and information assets while supporting informed business decision-making.

You’ll bring to the table:

• Proven experience in ICT risk, governance, compliance or information security within a complex organisation.


• Strong knowledge of risk management frameworks, controls and audit processes.


• Experience developing and maintaining policies, standards, procedures and risk registers.


• Demonstrated ability to gather, analyse and report on risk and compliance metrics.


• Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence and advise at all levels of the business.


• Experience supporting internal and external audits, compliance activities and evidence collection.


• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate complex concepts into practical business outcomes.


• Experience working with security and compliance frameworks such as ISO27001 and PCI-DSS.


• A proactive, detail-oriented approach with a passion for continuous improvement and risk management.


• Relevant qualifications or certifications in Risk, Governance, Information Security or Technology (highly regarded).


• Current QLD Working with Children Check


• Willing to obtain a Certificate of Completion for the National Child Safety Foundation Training, completed via Geccko platform
