Job summary

Select Harvests is seeking an experienced IT Operations & Security Analyst to join our Information Technology team based at our Head Office in Melbourne. The role blends hands-on IT operations, end-user support and cybersecurity, with responsibility for day-to-day IT support and strengthening Microsoft 365, identity and endpoint security.

Job description

We are seeking an experienced IT Operations & Security Analyst to join our Information Technology team based at our Head Office.

This role combines hands‑on IT operations, end-user support and cybersecurity. You will take ownership of day‑to‑day IT support while helping to manage and strengthen our Microsoft 365, identity, endpoint security, vulnerability management and patching environments.

You will also play an important role in delivering Select Harvests' cybersecurity uplift program, implementing technical security controls and working closely with internal stakeholders and external security partners to continuously improve our security posture.

What you’ll do

• Own the delivery of corporate deskside support, managing incidents and service requests through to resolution.
• Administer and maintain Microsoft 365 and Microsoft Entra ID security configurations.
• Manage identity and access controls including joiner, mover and leaver processes, MFA, Conditional Access and privileged access.
• Operate vulnerability scanning and patch management platforms across endpoint and server environments.
• Assess, prioritise, coordinate and validate the remediation of security vulnerabilities.
• Administer endpoint protection and security platforms, including Microsoft Defender/CrowdStrike and associated security tools.
• Monitor and respond to security alerts in collaboration with SOC/MDR providers.
• Implement security hardening, configuration standards and technical controls supporting the cybersecurity uplift roadmap.
• Support Essential Eight maturity uplift and alignment with ISO 27001 and ISM requirements.
• Maintain technical documentation, security baselines, remediation records and audit evidence.
• Work with internal teams and external service providers to resolve complex technical issues and improve IT and security outcomes.

What we’re looking for

• Experience delivering deskside or end‑user IT support with end‑to‑end ownership of incidents and requests.
• Strong experience administering Microsoft 365 and Microsoft Entra ID, including MFA and Conditional Access.
• Experience with vulnerability scanning, remediation and patch management across endpoints and servers.
• Knowledge of identity and privileged access management, including least privilege, access reviews and PIM.
• Experience with endpoint protection and security operations, ideally working with SOC or MDR providers.
• An understanding of cybersecurity frameworks such as the Essential Eight, ISO 27001 and the Australian Government Information Security Manual (ISM).
• Strong troubleshooting and prioritisation skills, with the ability to work effectively with internal stakeholders and external vendors.
• Relevant IT qualifications or equivalent experience. Microsoft security, identity, cybersecurity and/or ITIL certifications will be highly regarded.
