Job summary

Forty2 is seeking an experienced IT Banking Consultant with strong Avaloq expertise to join our team in Australia. You will support delivery of banking transformation initiatives, work with stakeholders, project teams and testers, and ensure successful Avaloq-based implementations.

The ideal candidate combines analytical skills with hands-on Avaloq configuration, development and testing within a banking environment. Fluent English is mandatory; ACCP/ABRS is an advantage.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field.
• Strong experience with the Avaloq Core Banking Platform.
• Hands-on parameterization, configuration and/or development of Avaloq solutions.
• Good understanding of banking and wealth management processes.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively with business and technical stakeholders.
• Experience in banking/wealth management environments.
• Knowledge of SDLC and testing methodologies.
• ACCP and/or ABRS certification is an advantage.
• Fluent English is mandatory; German and/or French are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement Avaloq solutions, including configuration and development as required.
• Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve issues raised by internal and external stakeholders.
• Design, prepare and maintain test cases including SIT, UAT and BAU non-regression scenarios.
• Support defect management, issue resolution and retesting activities.
• Provide support to Project Managers and Test Managers throughout the project lifecycle.
• Contribute to project documentation, solution specifications and implementation activities.
• Ensure delivery quality and compliance with project standards and best practices.

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced IT Banking Consultant with strong Avaloq expertise to join our team in Australia. In this role, as an Avaloq Parameterization Specialist, you will support the delivery of banking transformation initiatives, working closely with business stakeholders, project teams, and testers. As technical experts, you will analyze requirements, design and implement solutions, support testing, and ensure successful implementation of Avaloq-based solutions.

The ideal candidate combines analytical skills with strong hands‑on experience in Avaloq configuration, development, and testing within a banking environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement Avaloq solutions, including configuration and development activities as required.
• Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve issues raised by internal and external stakeholders.
• Design, prepare, and maintain test cases, including SIT, UAT, and Business-as-Usual (BAU) non-regression scenarios.
• Support defect management, issue resolution, and retesting activities.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, Finance, Economics, Business Information Systems, or a related field.
• Strong experience working with the Avaloq Core Banking Platform.
• Hands‑on experience in Avaloq parameterization, configuration, and/or development.
• Good understanding of banking and wealth management processes.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively with both business and technical stakeholders.
• Experience working within banking, private banking, wealth management, or financial services environments.
• Understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and testing methodologies.
• ACCP and/or ABRS certification is an advantage.
• Fluent English is mandatory. German and/or French language skills are considered a plus.
