Client 1 in Canberra is seeking a Cyber Security Assurance Specialist to act as the ISSO, overseeing compliance and security posture of classified IT systems. The role is on-site and involves accrediation-related tasks within Defence and Federal Government contexts.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in IT or Cyber Security.
Industry certifications highly desirable.
6+ years' experience in system administration and cyber security.

Responsibilities

Perform ISSO duties to maintain compliance and technical security posture of classified IT systems/networks.
Support system security authorisation and maintain related documentation.
Manage system hardware/software specification, procurement and configuration.
Oversee user administration and security education training and awareness (SETA).
Conduct vulnerability assessments, risk management, security monitoring and auditing.
Report and investigate security incidents.
Provide specialist advice on cyber security and accreditation matters.
Act as Deputy ISSM for assigned systems as delegated.
