Job summary

Journey Beyond's Kingfisher Bay Resort on K'gari (Fraser Island) is seeking a Commis Chef to join a dynamic culinary team. You will prepare and cook meals to recipe standards, assist with prep and kitchen operations, and maintain high food safety in a resort setting.

Live-on island with staff accommodation, meals discounts, tours and gym access. Applicants should hold a Certificate III in Commercial Cookery (RSA desirable) and have resort or hotel kitchen experience, with a passion for quality

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or equivalent qualification.
• Food Safety Certificate (RSA desirable).
• Experience in a resort, hotel or commercial kitchen environment.
• Strong organisation and time management skills.
• Positive attitude and passion for quality food.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook meals to menu and recipe standards.
• Assist with food preparation and kitchen operations.
• Maintain food safety, hygiene and kitchen cleanliness.
• Support stock management and kitchen organisation.
• Work closely with chefs and service teams.
