Job summary

Journey Beyond's K'gari Beach Resort on K'gari's east coast seeks a skilled Baker for a full-time, live-on island role. You will produce fresh bakery items for guests and locals, integrating food safety standards and high-volume production into daily operations.

As part of the culinary team, you'll collaborate to maintain quality, manage stock and ingredients, and support the bakery's daily production while embracing island hospitality and an on-site accommodation package.

Qualifications

• Relevant bakery trade qualifications.
• Experience in a commercial or high-volume bakery.
• HACCP and food safety knowledge.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and bake a variety of bakery products.
• Maintain food safety and hygiene standards.
• Monitor product quality and presentation.
• Assist with stock control and ingredient management.
• Support daily bakery production requirements.
