Job summary

Sparke Helmore in Sydney is seeking an experienced Associate to join the Intellectual Property & Technology team. You will work on a range of trade mark, copyright and patent matters, including disputes, licensing and commercialisation, gaining exposure to Federal Court litigation and high-profile clients.

You will be 3-4 years PQE with strong client-management skills and a collaborative, proactive approach, looking to deepen expertise in a market-leading IP & Technology practice.

Qualifications

• Approximately 3–4 years PQE gained in Federal Court litigation; preferably with IP, technology, commercial or disputes practice experience.
• Enjoy managing client relationships and taking ownership of matters while working closely with experienced practitioners.
• Be collaborative, proactive and eager to continue building expertise within a market-leading IP & Technology team.

Responsibilities

• Work on trade mark, copyright and patent disputes, licensing and commercialisation.
• Gain exposure to Federal Court litigation, opposition and IP proceedings.
• Advise clients across technology, FMCG, engineering, chemicals, hospitality and creative sectors.
