Overview

We are seeking an organized and detail-oriented Inwards Clerk to join our busy food manufacturing facility in Karawatha, Brisbane. You will be responsible for receiving, inspecting, and accurately recording all incoming goods and materials, ensuring that our production teams have what they need to operate efficiently. This role requires accuracy, compliance with food safety standards, and strong communication skills.

Responsibilities
  • Receive and Inspect Deliveries: Check incoming goods against purchase orders and delivery documentation, ensuring correct quantities, quality, and compliance with specifications.
  • Record and Manage Stock: Accurately update stock records in relevant systems (e.g., SAP, inventory management software) for traceability and reporting.
  • Coordinate with Production Teams: Ensure timely communication with production and warehouse staff to manage stock levels and resolve discrepancies.
  • Maintain Workplace Hygiene: Ensure storage areas are clean, organized, and compliant with GMP and BRCGS food safety standards.
  • Support Inventory Audits: Assist with stock counts and reconciliation to maintain accurate inventory records.
Qualifications
  • Qualifications: Certificate in warehousing, logistics, or similar is preferred.
  • Experience: Previous experience in stock handling, goods receipt, or inventory control in a food manufacturing or high-volume warehouse environment.
  • Systems Knowledge: Familiarity with inventory and production management systems (e.g., SAP, SCADA, or similar)
  • Attention to Detail: Ability to detect discrepancies in stock, deliveries, and documentation.
  • Communication: Strong written and verbal English skills for clear coordination with team members.
  • Work Environment: Comfortable working in warm or cool areas, physically able to handle stock, and thriving in a fast-paced, team-based environment.
