Job summary

Skyone Capital in Sydney is seeking an investment operations assistant to support client onboarding and day-to-day administration.

You will gain exposure to investment decision making, portfolio operations, and private markets while working directly with the investment team in a CBD office.

1–3 years’ related experience is desirable; training will be provided and you’ll be encouraged to learn and grow with our AI-enabled workflows.

Job description

We are a boutique multi-family office based at Aurora Place in the heart of Sydney. We manage the wealth of a select group of wholesale clients and families, investing across listed and private markets. We're a small, experienced firm, and you'll work directly with the investment team.

About the role

This is a hands-on role for someone who wants to build a career in investment management. You'll help keep the business running smoothly and accurately, and in return you'll get genuine exposure to how investment decisions are made, how portfolios are run and how client relationships are built. Full training will be provided.

Key responsibilities

Client administration and onboarding, including account openings and maintaining client records

Investment operations and trade support on the Netwealth platform

Administration of private investments, including capital calls and distributions

Preparing client reports, meeting packs and correspondence

Compliance record keeping

About you

1 to 3 years' experience in a related role is desirable, but what matters most is attitude. We're looking for someone who:

Has a genuine interest in markets and investing

Is eager to learn and happy to roll up their sleeves

Takes pride in getting the details right

Communicates clearly and professionally

Is organised and reliable

Is comfortable using AI tools (such as ChatGPT, Claude or Copilot). You don't need to be an expert, but you should be curious and confident with technology

Has, or is working towards, a degree in finance, commerce, economics or a related field

Real exposure to investment management, private markets and family office work from day one
